Second Day in Desolation Wilderness
The next morning we woke up quite early. In the first picture you can see me
climbing out of the tent in the morning. It was kinda cloudy, so we didn't get
to see much of a sunrise.
We had to settle with soup for breakfast since we forgot to bring the hot
cocoa mix and the porridge. Hot cocoa would have been nice to have.
Then we set out for a short hike to Lake Aloha. We left our back packs behind
since we would be returning through the camp site any way.
Finally we reached our destination. This lake, as can be seen from the map,
has a very irregular shape with a long shoreline. It kind of looks like a
fractal.
We returned to Lake of the Woods around noon and had bread and cheese for
lunch. Then we picked up our backpacks and started the trek back.
On the way back we stopped at Lake Tamrack. There we met a few ducks which
followed us around for some time. May be they wanted food...
